Landgoed Tespelduyn opens the most beautiful terrace in The Bulb Region. After the renovation of the restaurant in 2023, this spring it was the terrace's turn. On the totally renewed terrace, the country side of the estate and the hospitable hospitality industry come together. 'A place to come together,' says director Peter Duivenvoorde. 'Golfers, hikers, cyclists, families; on our renewed terrace all target groups come together and literally everyone is welcome.'

Bike buddies

To underline the social character of the company and terrace, Landgoed Tespelduyn has chosen this year to make an effort for Fietsmaatjes. The goal of this organization is to allow people with a social or physical disability to also enjoy cycling. This is done by means of a duo bike. By reducing social isolation and promoting fun and exercise, Fietsmaatjes contributes to a more inclusive society where everyone can enjoy the freedom and joy of cycling. 'Landgoed Tespelduyn is located in the middle of The Bulb Region. We are surrounded by bulb fields and especially now in spring it is beautiful to cycle through. The cycling routes run practically along the terrace. 'Look, there go groups of cyclists again,' Duivenvoorde points out from the renovated terrace. 'We are a family business and many people from The Bulb Region come here for lunch or dinner, have a party here or organize a company outing. We also dedicate ourselves and our employees to a good cause every year. So now we are going to do that for Fietsmaatjes, among other things with a grand golf day on King's Day.'

Tespelduyn's terrace is included as a regular stopover for duos who want to enjoy The Bulb Region. 'There is more than enough room for Fietsmaatjes' duo bike and our renovated terrace offers enough space.' In addition, Tespelduyn supports Fietsmaatjes by handing over a check for € 500. With this amount, the bikes can be maintained. 'It doesn't stop there,' assures Peter Duivenvoorde. 'We organize annual events where we raise money for social organizations such as Fietsmaatjes.'

Most beautiful terrace of The Bulb Region

The most beautiful terrace in De Bollensteek; that is the ambition of Landgoed Tespelduyn. Duivenvoorde: 'You sit on our large terrace all day in the sun. Among the flowers, nature in front of you and in the heart of De Bollensteek. These are unique values for a great terrace. It is not for nothing that we, as the only terrace in the Bollenstreek, are annually in the national Terrace Top 100. By giving the terrace a facelift we want to rise even further in that Terrace Top 100 and of course offer our guests a wonderful afternoon or evening.'
